Petrol price drops yet again, today

The R0N97 petrol price will be down by 15 sen to RM2.30 a litre, R0N92 less 10 sen to RM2.20 and diesel sheds 20 sen to RM2.20 effective today. This followed a marked drop in world oil prices of late, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in a statement yesterday. He said the Government decided to expedite the reduction of petrol and diesel retail prices to enable the people to enjoy lower fuel prices immediately. The Government earlier adjusted fuel prices on Aug 23 and Sept 24. Crude oil prices have dwindled from a record high of US$147 per barrel in July to US$82 currently. - Bernama
